“One grateful veteran says a big thank you for what you do!!!!!”

“Thank you for the amazing event you held today at Gillette Stadium today. Please know that 20 boxes were hand delivered to veterans.”

“Thank you for the food today. I’m a disabled retired combat army vet on limited income and your kindness made a huge difference in my life!”

“Today I benefited from the wonderful Food Drive for veterans in need during the coronavirus pandemic… I was able to pick up your box of 2 weeks worth of healthy food for my wife and myself… This was a great solution. I am grateful for your program and it’s creation to deal with problems like this caused by this unusual crisis we are all going through.”

Empowerment Center –
Temporary Closure During COVID-19

The Empowerment Center, located at 1015 S. Inner Rd. on Joint Base Cape Cod, has closed until further notice. We made this decision based on the decrease in numbers of volunteers needed to keep our busy center open and with the CDC’s recommendations for social distancing.

With an abundance of caution for the well being of our employees, volunteers and clients, the Empowerment Center will temporarily suspend operations until further notice. We are evaluating our reopening timeline daily and will work to provide periodic updates.

Cape Cod Military Support Foundation remains committed to assisting military personnel, Coast Guard, Veterans and their families with food, clothing and emergency aid in times of crisis. During this time other food pantries located on Cape Cod will make themselves available to assist in meeting the needs of our military and veteran population.

This pandemic is so much more than we all anticipated. Priority is enforcing the Governors and CDC guidelines to keep everyone safe. I know for all of us, it saddens us not to be there for our Military, their families and Veterans in this crucial time of need. The Board of Directors want to extend our heartfelt thank you to each and everyone of you that have been there to help out at the Empowerment Center thru all of this and also from the beginning when we opened . We absolutely could not do it without your continuous help and support. Be safe, stay well and see you all soon when we reopen.

On October 28, 2016 a fire destroyed the offices and storage areas for the Cape Cod Military Support Foundation. Help poured in from across the state and beyond. The generosity was so great that the foundation leaders sought to share the donations with other parts of the state.

Their eyes were opened to the extent of the needs of military, coast guard and veteran families across the state. Their tightknit community family on the Cape & Islands was great – but they knew they could do more, and so they did.

The Massachusetts Military Support Foundation Inc. was formed in 2017 to expand the programs and services across the state.

Massachusetts has a long and pivotal military and national history… we are caretakers of that living history through our support to those who serve and defend the Commonwealth and the nation.
